Comcast Eyes Future in NBC Universal Bid

Press, Associated. " Comcast eyes future in bid for NBC Universal." MSNBC. 02 Oct 2009. MSNBC, Web. 4 Oct 2009. .

This article talks about how Comcast has come up with a plan, which will make them bigger than they are right now. This plan is to buy out NBC Universal. Comcast will pay $4 billion to $6 billion dollars for General Electric Co. shares, therefore, they will own 51 percent of NBC Universal. Some of the things Comcast will receive are NBC network, movie studios, several cable channels. No matter where the show is viewed Comcast will be making an increase in money somehow. This will also make their ratings go up.
I think that is too much power in one company's hands. They will own so much of what is shown on television. This will make them want more and more. They will be gaining so much money that they will, someday, be able to buy out many other companies. I think other companies will have to merge together so there will be competition against this giant.
